Dear Students,
As we continue to cultivate our skills in English, I want to highlight the incredible power of writing. Writing is not just a skill; it is a way to express your thoughts, share your experiences, and connect with others.
I am particularly impressed by the insights shared by one of our students, Kwong Ho-yin (Ho Yu), who proposed a new subject titled “Life Skills and Well-Being.”, in SCMP. Ho-yin highlighted the importance of practical skills such as financial management, home repair, cooking, and mental health management. His work emphasizes that these skills are essential for independent living and overall well-being.
This is a wonderful example of how writing can be used to advocate for meaningful change. It shows how each of you can express your ideas and contribute to our school community.
At Ho Yu College and Primary School, we encourage all of you to embrace writing as a way to communicate your thoughts and passions through the following methods:
1. Practice Writing Regularly: Use AI platforms for journaling, blogging, or storytelling.
2. Read Widely: Explore different styles and genres to inspire your writing.
3. Seek Feedback: Collaborate with classmates or teachers to share and refine your ideas.
4. Participate in Writing Competitions: Gain recognition and build confidence through your writing.
Let’s celebrate our voices and ideas through writing.
Happy writing!
Principal Chiuchiu
